Sessions are practical, straight-talking and shaped around the audience — combining technical knowledge with lessons from real projects, without being tied to selling a particular installer, manufacturer or product.

A more detailed presentation tailored to the audience or event theme.
Technical workshop
An interactive or technical session with room for deeper discussion, demonstrations and questions.
Half-day engagement
Can include a presentation, panel discussions, breakout sessions, technical Q&A, facilitated conversations and general event participation.
Full-day engagement
For conferences, workshops, training days or events that need multiple sessions.
Custom presentation development & technical consulting
Reasonable preparation using existing SolarLink material is included in the speaking fee. Significant research, bespoke presentation development, technical assessment or project-specific advice is charged separately.
Technical displays & demonstration equipment
Physical equipment where it helps — solar panels, inverters, battery equipment, EV charging gear and other energy technology. Pricing depends on the equipment, transport, setup and pack-down.
Practical energy education in the community
This is where SolarLink’s speaking started, and it stays a big part of the work. Reduced rates are available for eligible schools, charities, community organisations and not-for-profit events — and selected engagements may be provided pro bono or sponsored by SolarLink where they strongly align with community education and industry development.

SolarLink’s role is to educate, explain and share practical experience. Speaking engagements aren’t sales presentations for a particular installer or manufacturer — technologies and approaches are discussed on their merits, so audiences get practical information without the session turning into a pitch.
Travel
Local travel within the New Plymouth area is included. Travel further afield is quoted depending on location and what the engagement needs, with flights, accommodation and other direct travel costs charged where applicable.

Yes. Reduced rates are available for eligible schools, charities, community organisations and not-for-profit events, and selected engagements may be provided pro bono or sponsored by SolarLink. Get in touch and we’ll talk through what works for your group.
What age groups and audiences can you present to?
Anyone. We tailor the level and language for the room — from primary-school classes and community groups through to trade, industry and conference audiences.
Do you travel?
Local travel within the New Plymouth area is included. Travel outside New Plymouth is quoted depending on location and engagement requirements, with flights, accommodation and other direct travel costs charged where applicable.
Can you tie a session to a curriculum, theme or event programme?
Yes — tell us the audience, the theme and what you want people to take away, and we’ll shape the session to fit.
Is this a sales presentation?
No. SolarLink sessions are educational. We don’t use them to sell a particular installer, manufacturer or product.
